VANCOUVER/WHISTLER BC – As the countdown is on to 2025, the Vancouver Whistler Games Corporation proudly introduces its Board of Directors who will steer the course of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025. Working in tandem with recently appointed Board Chair, Don Lindsay, this diverse group will bring their collective expertise to shape a world-class event.

“The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 Board of Directors stands as a testament to the diversity and breadth of talent that will shape the success of this endeavour. Our Board includes respected figures from our Host First Nations, not-for-profit organizations, finance, sports, law, and technology,” says Peter Lawless, Chief Executive Officer of Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025. “We’re extremely proud of the diverse skills, experience and perspective the Board will provide as we get closer to the Games.”

Many Board members will join staff and sponsors as they head to Germany from September 9-16 to observe and engage in the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023. As Vancouver Whistler is next to host the Invictus Games in 2025, some Board members will witness the Düsseldorf closing ceremonies and the handoff to Vancouver and Whistler.

Thanks to the successful bid from True Patriot Love Foundation, with support from the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia, Canada will welcome more than 500 competitors from over 20 countries to participate in the most innovative and accessible Games. For the first time, the Invictus Games will include adaptive winter sports like alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, skeleton and wheelchair curling.

The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will be held on the traditional territories of the Lil̓ wat7úl (Líl̓ wat), xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and s ̱ əlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are committed to engaging with each Nation, addressing Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, and respecting Indigenous protocols in all aspects of our Games.
